When the site appears, you will see on the left of center, an outline of the State of West Virginia. Any county highlighted in blue reports under this program.
Click on the county of your choice (make sure that you click on the county) and a dialogue box appears. Check the top box to be sure that you have correctly selected the county you want.
At this point, you have four methods to choose from. Most people use the first method where you enter the name of the taxpayer/property owner you wish to search. Enter the surname (last name) of the taxpayer, and then enter one or two letters of the first name. NOTE: sometimes when property is owned by a husband and wife, the wife’s name cannot be entered; you must enter the husband’s name.
